Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the AR Medias Internship Verification Portal collects, why it is collected, and how long it is kept.
What appears on a public certificate page
A verification page shows only the information needed to confirm that an internship took place: the intern name, role, department, institution, course, internship dates, project details, mentor evaluation and certificate status.
Contact details such as email addresses and phone numbers are stored in our administrative records but are never displayed publicly.
Verification analytics
Each verification attempt is logged so we can detect abuse and report usage to the intern. We record the timestamp, verification code, device category, browser, operating system, referrer and, where the network provides it, a country code.
IP addresses are never stored in raw form. They are combined with a server-side secret and hashed one way, which lets us count distinct checks without being able to recover the address.
Cookies
The public portal sets no tracking or advertising cookies. A single cookie is used for administrator sessions and is only issued after a successful sign-in.
Retention
Certificate records are retained for as long as the credential is valid, because permanent verifiability is the purpose of the service. Verification logs are retained for 24 months and then deleted.
Your rights
Interns may request correction of their record, and may ask what verification activity has been logged against their certificate. Write to info@armedias.com from the address on file and we will respond within 30 days.
Note that withdrawal of a certificate from the public register is treated as a revocation and is recorded as such.
